Napa Valley is famous for it’s bold, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, but do you know why?
A combination of Napa Valley’s volcanic soils and ideal climate (sunny and warm, with cooling factors from the nearby coast) create an ideal environment where Cabernet Sauvignon thrives.
Not all Napa Valley Cabs have the same flavor profile, it varies depending on where the vineyards are located, but is generally divided into the Hillsides and Valley Floor.
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for the Fortitude Cabernet Sauvignon from Provenance Vineyards are from vineyards located both on the Hillsides and the Valley Floor. Specifically in Rutherford, Oakville, Diamond Mountain, Yountville and Howell Mountain. It has notes of rich black fruit, notes of dark chocolate and espresso.
Cheers!
